This is not a very good description of what one does. Daily tasks . Iike details. If I was a new employee…I would be LOST as to what I need to "do". Like "answer the phone". That's clear. "Optimize this service". What DOES that mean? That means nothing to me. Analyze Excel. What does that mean? Ugh.

I work in IT after being an investigative analyst and an underwriter at an investment firm and a regular bank respectively. How good are my chances that I could wiggle my way into being a BA? I think it would be a better fit for me.

Hi, I'm currently applying for a role as a business analyst apprenticeship in the UK. I've got experience in sales, marketing and customer service with some experience in learning the Tableau software… But my maths level is horrifyingly poor. Business analysis is not only a career; it is driven by passion and qualification.. lots of half literate engineers always circle around money and they start to bend towards what title offer more money. We find them saying – I want to do that. In reality they don't know a shit about that and neither 90 % of them are even qualified…
if you ask them if they have any business degree to actually understand business ?? They will start giving some of highly lame answers.
Most of half educated (or even less) engineers who don't like programming or want to earn more money tend to use these words as hiding the facts and pretend that they have real interest to become business analyst… While in real time on job they do nothing but System Analysis in name of business analysis and get things worse for organizations by zero value addition.
