About The Game
MY SUMMER CAR is the ultimate car owning, building, fixing, tuning, maintenance AND permadeath life survival simulator. You start the game with hundreds of loose parts and assemble both car and engine. Not only you need to maintain your car, but yourself as well. Sausages, beer and sleeping will do just fine. If everything goes well, you have a working car which you can use for various 1990’s Finnish countryside summer activities. Basically doing stupid things under influence of alcohol. After you have gathered extra money from various random jobs, you can start to tune and upgrade the car with parts ordered via snail mail. You can turn the car into a obnoxious bass-boom disco machine…. or into a rally car to participate rally competitions… or just fix it into perfect factory condition. Of course car also needs to pass the inspection or you might get into trouble with police. Not only you have access to one car, but also several other cars and vehicles which you can use. (Mostly useful to get groceries and for towing the project car from some ditch, again).

If successful, you can drive and use it for various 1990’s Finish countryside summer events. This game is quite challenging but provides an authentic and insanely rewarding experience.
What the game offers
There are various car simulation games available, from car racing and car driving to car mechanics and automation, and My Summer Car is yet another one. However, what sets this game apart from its competition is its immersive yet realistic offering. More so, the game offers a lot aside from driving a car. As noted, you will start by fixing—or rather building—the car. Then there is tuning and maintenance, not only for your car but yourself as well.
Besides the building section, there’s also a survival aspect that makes the game more challenging and enjoyable. There will be lots of challenging, and occasionally deadly, events to watch out for if you want to complete a task and earn Marrka—the currency in the game. For instance, upon reaching the highway, you will risk getting killed by a wild moose or crashing head-on into an oncoming car. You can even bury your car on a pine tree.
As noted, the game tests your patience as it does not hold your hand or guide you in any way. From building the car to driving it to do jobs, everything is up to you. There is no tutorial available in the game, so you will have to find it elsewhere. Also, earning Marrka to buy for parts can be difficult. You will need to complete various jobs.
